Kaylee, Rachel, Abe, and I all made the adventure out to Whidbey Island from Rachel and Abe's house yesterday to pick up Sandy and Max. It was a neat adventure...we rode the Port Townsend ferry from the island they live on to Whidbey Island. Then we drove and they saw our (hopefully if we ever close) new house. We had a bite to eat and then went and picked up the doggies. Sandy and Max were soo excited to see me (as I was them!). After getting them and becoming broke paying for the boarding bill, we set out for the long adventure home. Even though Sandy and Max are in a crate in the garage, at least they're here with Kaylee and I.
On the way home, we drove through Deception Pass and rode the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry back onto the island that Rach and Abe live on. Deception Pass is absolutely beautiful and the Kingston Ferry is the nicest I have been on (I have now been on 4 ferries....Clinton/Mukilteo, Seattle/Bainbridge Island, Port Townsend/Keystone, and the Edmonds/Kingston). The ferry rides are quite unique and something to experience. The views of the water and mountains are amazing.
