Wish me luck!

I have a job interview! I applied for a financial accountant position with a local bank on friday and to my surprise, I got a phone call today asking me to come in for an interview. I don't know anything about the position, except that it is a financial reporting position and it's titled Financial Accountant II...whatever that means! I am excited. I am nervous. If this position pans out, I would have to find childcare for my little girl! I may just cry! While I love Kaylee with all of my heart, I am excited about what having a job could do for our family. I am also, however, saddened at the thought of not getting to spend as much time with her. Oak Harbor has left our pockets a little empty though. It is quite expensive to live here and the BAH does NOT cover our mortgage let alone the utlitities that we have to pay. Having an extra income would mean spending money, saving money (since we have done none of that since being here!), house expense money, and lets not forget the most important of all...Kaylee money! It would provide a cushion which 1. we don't exactly have right now and 2. would make me feel a little more secure in our finances! So...with all that, wish me luck! Pray that God will make this work in whatever manner it is suppossed to!

  1. How exciting, Jen!! A job interview! You'll rock it, I'm sure. Awww, don't cry about childcare... I'm sure Kaylee will do just fine. It's awesome that she has a mom with the qualifications to adequately provide for her, both physically and financially. Who knows... maybe they could do an every other Friday off or a 4 day workweek or something like that! Best of luck with the interview!

  2. Oops - Sorry about the last comment being posted as "Ryan." I didn't realize he had signed onto his google account on my comp. It was really from ME! :o)

  3. I know how hard it is to step out into the work force with little babies at home. Ryan was 13 weeks when I went back to work and Hannah was 11 weeks. I did cry, but it does get easier. It is nice to get out and work and have that extra income. Kaylee will do great with a baby-sitter.... Good luck with finding one. I know it's not easy!!!! Good luck on your interview! I bet they will love you!!!! Keep us posted.. And remember, you are doing a possitive thing... One that will benefit the entire family, including YOU!!! XoXoXo
